Raymond Leslie Crelia, born September 19, 1940, in Fort Worth, TX passed away suddenly Wednesday June 14 doing what he loved, tending his garden and lawn.
He graduated from Northside High School and later from Texas Wesleyan University. He grew up attending First Baptist Church of Fort Worth, was previously a member of Northwest Bible Church in Fort Worth and is a founding member of Redeemer BibleChurch in Dallas. He was employed with TU Electric and retired from there after 24 yearsof service. He loved to travel and study church history. He was an inveterate volunteer,spending a good bit of his time serving his congregation and the local elementary schoolthrough beautifying their grounds with his talent for gardening and penchant for stayingbusy. He was always looking for ways to help. His personality was marked by hiscontinuous desire to make new friends, to pet nearly every dog that crossed his path andhis talent for perfectly timed and regularly hilarious puns
He is survived by his devoted wife of 32 years, his two loving step-children, and threedoting step-grandchildren in whom he found great joy.
Visitation scheduled for Monday, June 19, 6-8pm (closed casket) at Sparkman Crane Funeral Home 10501 Garland Road, Dallas, TX
Graveside service scheduled for Wednesday, June 21 @ 9:30am at Clark Cemetery, 1394 Friendship Rd, Weatherford, TX
Memorial service scheduled for July 8, 11am, reception with light refreshment to followat Redeemer Bible Church, 721 Easton Rd, Dallas, TX
