Karen Lynn Cox (Kubosh) Ellerbrook, age 54, passed from this life to her Heavenly Home on Sunday, January 9, 2022, in Weatherford, TX. Karen was born on August 15, 1967, in Omaha, NE to Charles Kubosh and Geraldine (McMillan) Kubosh. She attended Northside Baptist Church in Mineral Wells and was employed as a rural mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. Her hobbies included: going to car shows, watching True Crime TV shows, and engaging in a good conversation. She loved animals and tried to rescue each one that crossed her path. Karen was an all-around wonderful person and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her father, Charles Kubosh, Karen is preceded in death by her son, Ty Ely with whom she will be buried; daughters, Faith & Cassie; and brother Jimmy Kubosh.
Left to cherish Karen’s memory are her loving family: husband, Randy Ellerbrook of Mineral Wells, TX: mother, Geraldine Kubosh; step-daughter, Tina Ellerbrook of Hico, TX; sister, Lou Anne Siegel of Millsap, TX; brother and sister-in-law, David (Nancy) Kubosh of Millsap, TX; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, Weatherford, TX 76086. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at the Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with interment to follow in Clark Cemetery, 1394 Friendship Road, Weatherford, TX 76085.
